Grand Cafe - Winnemucca

Food was incredible, the server was wonderful. Very helpful and attentive. Always kept our glasses full.

We were traveling and stopped in Winnemucca for the night. It was a late night and we needed dinner but everything was closing at 9. We called ahead and they said dine in was open and they closed at 11. We had to go through the smoked filled casino but once in the dining area it was a breath of fresh air. We were a little confused to find the "Grand Cafe" and not the Garden Cafe. Talking with our server cleared everything up. The cafe shut down a few months ago and remolded and opened with a new name. The server's were great! Our server made conversation and could tell we were exhausted with traveling with 3 kids. I enjoyed eating here just because our server connected with us on a personal level. The food was great and came out to our table at a good time. The host was on the phone when we left but still managed to smile and wish a good night on our way out.

Really enjoyed everything about The Grand Cafe. We had the most amazing server, Jaime H. She recommended the cowboy mac & cheese, and we loved it!

OMG best meal of our whole 2 week trip to the midwest and back! Janelle is an incredible waitress and made the meal all the better. Love the windows - mt view etc. We had NY steak - medium, soup, mashed potatoes with brown gravy - onion rings etc. Wow! 1-5 a 10 on all marks!

We came in late for dinner. Almost 9 pm. Everything around closes around 9, but they are open until 11. Found the Grand Cafe rather than the Garden Cafe. They seem to have remodeled. It didn't take too long to notice they were short-staffed, and some customers couldn't seem to handle the short wait. The staff were all remarkably friendly, especially considering how hectic it got shortly after we arrived. JC and Jaimie seated us and served us. Both of whom were simply delightful. I can not emphasize enough how thoroughly we enjoyed our visit here. The food was terrific. We had the grilled chicken sandwich, the fettuccine, and the french dip. The fettuccine especially was fantastic. It was one of the best I've had in a long time. I have to say again just how delightful the staff were. They were clearly doing everything they could while short-staffed. The effort to quality service and a friendly atmosphere was ever apparent. A simple nod of understanding in a busy time can go a long way. Thank you for the wonderful visit.

Long day of travel- needed a steak, a room and a shower.... Great place to stay if you’re ever in Winnemucca! The food here is awesome and that is a delicious ribeye, perfectly cooked. So good!
